MTI EAST PEORIA, IL CAMPUS HISTORY
In March 2009, MTI opened its doors to the East Peoria, IL campus. The campus initially offered eight programs: Welding, HVAC/R Technician, Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, Pharmacy Technician, Medical Coding Specialist, Nursing Assistant and Massage Therapy.听
Since its inception, the campus has added two additional trade school programs: Electrician and Phlebotomy.
The 50,000 square foot facility includes a 3,000 square foot welding shop, set up for stick, MIG and TIG welding. The HVAC/R lab contains a sheet metal fabrication area, climate control area and a prefabricated home to assist with giving hands-on experience in HVAC/R system installation, repair, and maintenance. The healthcare programs (Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting and Basic Nursing Assistant) have spacious on-site labs to give our students an opportunity to receive real hands-on training in environments that simulate real workplaces.
